Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains what information OpenStrike collects when you join our early-access list, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We’ve kept it short and plain, because right now we collect very little.
OpenStrike is a pre-launch product operated by OpenStrike Inc., a corporation incorporated in Canada. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@openstrike.io.
What we collect
When you join the early-access list, we collect:
- Your email address, which you give us by entering it in our signup form.
- Which form you used to sign up (for example, the top or the bottom of the page), so we understand what’s working.
- A record of your consent: the date and time you submitted the form, the form you used, and the exact wording you agreed to.
We also process limited technical information that your browser sends automatically with every request, including your IP address. We use it to keep the signup form working — to limit repeated submissions and block automated abuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
Our servers keep short-lived operational records of requests to the site. These note which part of the page a form was seen or submitted from, and the country a request came from. They never contain your email address.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use cookies. We do not use advertising trackers, tracking pixels, browser fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking of any kind, and we do not store anything on your device. We do not currently run website analytics. If any of that changes, we will update this policy before we turn it on.
Why we collect it
We use your email address for one purpose: to send you early-access, pricing and launch information about OpenStrike, and related product updates. That is all. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
We rely on your consent, which you give by joining the list and can withdraw at any time.
The limited technical information described above is different: you do not choose to send it, and we do not ask you for it. We process it only as far as is reasonably necessary to operate and secure the website, enforce rate limits, and prevent abuse — and for nothing else.
The emails we send
Every email we send about OpenStrike is a commercial message, including the confirmation you receive when you join. Each one identifies OpenStrike Inc., gives our mailing address, and carries a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect promptly, and we keep a record of it so that we do not contact you again.
Service providers
We use service providers to host the website, operate the early-access list, deliver requested emails and understand basic website usage. They process personal information to provide these services on our behalf.
Some service providers may process personal information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information processed in another country may be subject to that country’s laws and lawful access requirements. OpenStrike Inc. remains responsible for personal information under its control.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until 24 months after you join, or 12 months after OpenStrike launches, whichever comes first. Then we delete it — sooner, if you ask us to.
Separately, we keep the record of your consent, and of any unsubscribe request, for as long as we need to be able to show that we handled your address lawfully. That record protects you as much as it protects us.
Operational records are held briefly by our hosting provider and deleted on that provider’s ordinary schedule.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
Whoever you are and wherever you live, you can email privacy@openstrike.io to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw your consent. We honour these for everyone, not only where a law requires it.
Because your email address is the only thing we hold, we confirm a request by checking that it comes from that address. We will not ask you for identity documents we have no reason to hold.
Depending on where you live, local law may give you further rights, and we will honour any that apply to you. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can raise it with your local privacy regulator.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and your email address travels the same way. Access to the list is limited to the people at OpenStrike Inc. who need it. No system is perfectly secure and we will not claim otherwise — but we hold no payment details, no financial information, and no trading data.
Age
OpenStrike is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 to join the early-access list. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and we do not profile you. Nothing on this site uses artificial intelligence to process your information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Our product will grow after launch, so expect a fuller policy then. If anything material changes about how we handle information we already hold, we will tell you before it takes effect.
